State #5 and the Zion ride through

Day 21, 5 states, 4730 miles so far(46,984 miles on the bike)

Made it to Utah today! I pulled out of Winslow Az. at 0530 and headed to Flagstaff then north around the north rim of the Grand Canyon. Thanks Kevin Logan for the suggestion to take US 89A, Glen Canyon was spectacular! I crossed over near Kanab Ut, where the temp was already starting to climb.

Sadly,  this is the only pic I took today, as the temp climbed, the temptation to pull over, get off the bike to dig out the camera and take off the gloves became less and less.  I did stop in Mt Carmel Junction for a Club sandwich care of Ryan Seward from the Go Fund Me page, Thanks Ryan!

Thankfully I have a lifetime National park pass and didn’t have to pay the $35 entrance fee to get in the Zion NP, it’s a nice park but wow.  Please don’t comment about me not taking pics while going through the park. To satisfy those few :-p I pulled these off google…. And yes, it’s that gourgious, spectacular and awe inspiring! Like Alaska, this is a place that needs at least 2-3 days of exploring to fully appreciate the beauty. image image image image image

Tomorrow and the next day is Vegas, because……  It’s Vegas! 😉

It's all about going for a ride with friends on the Yamaha Super Tenere, on road or off in the Pacific Northwest
